Working from home can be a scary prospect.

You’re faced with the challenge of balancing your work, family, and personal life all by yourself, without any coworkers to help you out. It’s not for everyone, but it is an option that more people are starting to explore as they try to find new ways of working in this quickly changing world.

The majority of professionals (61%) surveyed by Harvard Business School in March 2020 and March 2021 wished to work two to three days each week from home, while 27% planned to work remotely all the time, according to a survey of 1,500 professionals.

There is even the hybrid approach that some companies have started to embrace because according to Audrey Kingo, it offers “to give workers the flexibility they desire and maximize employee engagement and productivity”

If you’re considering making this transition or even just curious about what it would be like, read on for some things you might not know about working at home.
